I really think this is the way to go, in halting the "digital dark age" - raising awareness in the general public about the need for proactive preservation.
This knowledge and the skills can also transfer into the workplace, in support of better records management by information workers. Staff will have more understanding about the goals of policies and procedures established by their in-house IM/RM officers.
