From 25 May we're celebrating elebrating Library & Information Week, recognising the vital role of libraries and information services in our communities, work and personal lives.
As digital and information literacy become ever more central for business, learning and leisure, now is the moment to reconnect with your local library — or online with libraries around the world.
One of my favourite events is National Simultaneous Storytime on 27 May — when participants across Australia and New Zealand will sit down at 11am to read Whitney and Britney Chicken Divas, aiming to get One Million Kids Reading! Last year’s event saw 1,138,000 participants at over 11,550 locations, including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, UK, Canada, Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong.
It's the home stretch for Information Awareness Month but the excitement is far from over!
