  • Hi Helen,

I am studying the Grad Dip in Records Management and Archives at Curtin Uni in WA all online (I live in Melbourne). One of my Australian classmates was doing this semester from Dubai. I can recommend online Aust courses as an alternative to doing one whilst you are overseas, unless you want the face-to-face contact with other students (which can have its advantages).

    Kind regards,

    Simone

  • Dear Helen,

I have just received a Certificate in Professional Studies: Archives and Records Management.  It was a correspondence course with the University of Liverpool UK - Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.  I completed the following four modules:

    • Introduction to Archives & Records Management

    • Processing Records & Archives

    • Reference and User Services

    • Preservation Management

The coursework was very comprehensive and challenging.  Distant learning requires a huge discipline also.  Tutor/admin support was only an email away and they always delivered a prompt response.

It was well worth all the effort and hard work.  I would highly recommend the University of Liverpool.

    Kindest regards,

    Máiréad
