Following the 2018 Archives Dedication Service, our 3rd annual Archives and Collections Software and Project Management Workshop for small to medium archives is designed to provide practical, up-to-date tools and knowledge to help you manage your archival program. We will cover project management and software and tools for small to medium archives including packages built on both proprietary and open-source platforms.

Archives and Records consultant Judith Ellis will lead discussion on project management for archivists. Consultant Research Archivist Mike Jones will demonstrate and lead discussion on current software packages including ICA AToM and the associated Archivematica digital preservation package, Collective Access, Omeka and eHive collection management packages, and the locally developed tools HDMS and FACIT.

Fiona Ross (University of Melbourne), Sophie Shilling (Royal Historical Society of Victoria) and Rachel Naughton (Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne) will reflect on practical examples of project management and archival software implementation.
