Are you a newbie archives/records professional?

On the last legs of your degree, and not sure where to go from here?

Considering a career in GLAM, and looking for a peek behind the catalogue?

The Victorian Branch is very excited to announce Ask an Archivist: Advice for New Graduates.

This online seminar will feature a range of guest speakers from across our fantastic archives/records community, who will be sharing their job search stories, how they got to where they are, and what they wish they’d known when they were just starting out. Hot topics include: How do I find a job? How do I impress in an interview? What are selection criteria, and how do I answer them? What can the ASA do for me? How do I network? And of course, but I’m not qualified for that!

There will also be a Q&A for you to ask any burning questions that our speakers missed.

Not an archivist? Not a problem! We’d love to see all of our wonderful GLAM friends there, so come along, meet some new faces, and get some advice worth keeping (that’s an archives joke).
