Loreto College hosts the first SA School Archives SIG meeting for 2012. There will be a tour of the Heritage Garden starting at 7pm (please note earlier start time) and followed by viewing of the Heritage Gallery which displays Loreto's collection of archival documents and artefacts.
Above the winding First Creek, in 1874 Dr John Gunson established one of the most significant examples of late 19th century landscape design. During the 1880s Sir Edwin Smith carried on with the garden’s development. The Loreto Sister acquired the property in 1920 and have preserved the general layout and many significant trees.
Following our tour will be a brief network meeting to discuss matters of interest.
