NSW School Archives SIG Professional Development Day

School archivists write interesting articles for school magazines, blogs, and social media and also write museum signage, business reports, business proposals, etc. Sometimes it is a struggle to find the right words, create a suitable structure, or to write concisely on a topic that we know a lot about.

At today’s workshop, the following topics will be covered:

  • Learn the most important things to know about writing
  • Learn how to create from sources to the written product
  • Be able to think creatively in order to build a story
  • Create templates for different kinds of writing – advocacy, caption writing, business proposal, internal/external reports, and stakeholders.

Note: Space is limited and tables will not be provided at the venue therefore please bring something to lean on for the writing exercises.

Dr Roslyn Arnold is a writing and thinking specialist. She is an Honorary Professor in the Faculty of Education and Social Work and works as an education consultant in schools, universities and corporations. For a full list description of her professional biography, please follow this link.

If you have any further questions please contact NSW School Archives convenor Kate Riseley by email.
