The 2011 Annual General Meeting of the ASA NSW Branch will be held on:

Wednesday 21 September 2011, at 5.30pm for 6pm , at the State Records NSW Sydney Records Centre, 2 Globe Street, The Rocks.

Guest speaker for the History Week theme: 'Eat History':

Dr Alan Saunders, ABC Radio National Presenter, re 'Food & Archives'.

Alan Saunders joined the ABC Science Unit in 1987 and founded The Food Program. He now presents The Philosopher's Zone and By Design. Alan has written has written widely, especially on food and design, for a number of newspapers and magazines. He is the author of A is for Apple (Random House) and his first novel, Alanna, was published by Penguin in 2002. He is in demand as a public speaker and has been a judge for many food, architectural and design awards. Most recently he has appeared as a food critic on the Channel Nine television series, The Chopping Block.

Followed by:

2011 Annual General Meeting, including:

* Presentation of Reports from 2010-2011 Office-Bearers

and

* Elections for the 2011-2012 Committee of the ASA NSW Branch. 

There are many positions available for election this year: Convenor, Treasurer, Co-Secretary (minutes, reports, newsletter editor), as well as non-office bearing committee members (providores, photographer, etc).

The current Convenor (Louise Trott), Treasurer (Katie Bird), & Co- Secretary (Melanie Grogan) are all stepping down from the Executive Committee.
