The nominations for 2022 Victorian Museums and Galleries Awards are now open.

This is your chance to nominate a special individual or organisation for excellence and celebrate the achievements of the sector and acknowledge the amazing work being undertaken by Victorian organisations and their staff and volunteers.

The nomination process is now online. It's simple, free, and open to both members and non-members, so why not nominate? Individual category winners receive prizes valued at over $400 and media packs to promote their awards.

Nominations are invited in the following categories:

INDIVIDUALS

  • AMaGA Victoria Award for Excellence (volunteer)
  • AMaGA Victoria Award for Excellence (paid staff)
  • Martin Hallett Award for individual contribution to Community Heritage

ORGANISATIONS

There are four organisational awards, based on operational budget:

  • The Archival Survival Award for volunteer-run museums or galleries with no paid staff
  • The Archival Survival Award for small museums or galleries with less than $1 million operational budget
  • The AMaGA Victoria Award for medium museums or galleries with $1-10 million operational budget
  • The AMaGA Victoria Award for large museums or galleries with over $10 million operational budget
