Hear from committee leaders for the 2023 National Conference to discuss the conference theme and its potential meaning including a Q&A session for questions s and ideas about how to contribute to this year's conference.

About the Presenters

Associate Professor Joanne Evans is an archival and recordkeeping researcher and educator in the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University. Her research focuses on addressing the lifelong identity, memory and accountability needs of childhood out of home care, through the exploration of participatory design and research strategies to develop dynamic evidence and memory management frameworks, processes and systems supportive of multiple rights in recordkeeping.

Catherine Hall (ASAAP) is the College Archivist at Xavier College in Kew, Melbourne, where she oversees a diverse A&RM portfolio including current and historical staff and student records, a digital sound and film archive and a divergent collection of physical materials including uniforms, photographs and sporting equipment.  Additionally, Catherine is the Secretary for the 2023 ASA National Conference, Convenor of the National School Archives SIG and also Network Coordinator for the Victorian School Archives SIG.  She has a special interest in culturally responsive ways to include First Nations narratives in Archives and Records Management.

Marian Jenkinson has recently come to the archives world after a 30 year teaching career. She works as College Archivist in two Melbourne Catholic schools, caring for the history and heritage collections and records, assisting with administration and student record keeping protocols, and bringing the archives alive through displays and educational talks.
