It is with great sadness that I let you know of the passing of Peter Loveday, husband of our colleague Baiba Berzins, last Saturday 20 August 2011, due to pneumonia, after a long period of ill health.
A funeral notice will be published in the Sydney Morning Herald on Wednesday 24 August 2011.
Peter's funeral will be held at 12noon on Saturday 27 August 2011 at the Macquarie Park Crematorium.
I will update this blog post with relevant details when available.

Metallurgist, historian and political scientist.
Loving husband of Baiba, caring and proud dad, father-in-law and grandad of Nick, Kate, Marlon and Maddy. Beloved eldest son of Ron and Lizzie Hilary (deceased), beloved sibling of Penelope, John (deceased), Jim (deceased), Margaret, Rowena and Geoffrey.
PETER’S family and friends are warmly invited to attend a Celebration of his Life to be held in the Magnolia Chapel of Macquarie Park Crematorium, corner Delhi and Plassey Roads, Macquarie Park, on Saturday (August 27, 2011) commencing at 12 p.m., followed by a gathering at the Yuga Cafe, 172 St. Johns Road, Glebe.
In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation; a donation box will be available at the chapel.
