Student scholarships and bursaries open
The Australian Society of Archivists offers a number of annual awards and scholarships for members and students. These offer opportunities for professional development and recognise achievements by members.
Sharman Award (ASA Conference bursary). The Award is in the form of either direct financial assistance or other aid to attend the annual ASA Conference (this year in Hobart in August 2015). Such attendees will be selected from those members of the Society who for reasons of cost would be precluded from attending the Conference. Award includes travel to and from the conference venue plus conference registration. Applications 29 May 2015.
Loris Williams Scholarship for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students studying archives and records. Two scholarships worth $3000 each are available in 2015. Applications close 18 May 2015.
