The experience of the panellists is wide-ranging from academia, government institutions and the private sector, with diverse professional backgrounds in economics, sociology and archival practice. Listen to the panel explore why it’s important to understand and explain our value proposition. It provides different perspectives on what that value consists of.

Panellists:

  • Richard Denniss of the Australia Institute has researched economics and culture over the last 20 years.
  • David Fricker is the president of the ICA and secured $67 million for collection management at NAA before he recently left his post as Director General.
  • Emeritus Professor Maggie Walter has been leading work on Indigenous data sovereignty in Australia and why it’s so important for people who generate data to take hold of it.
