There are still some spaces left in both these workshops.

On May 2nd Preservation Australia will be running our regular May Day workshop ‘Disaster Combo’. This day is structured to provide participants with the tools to really get started on their Disaster Preparedness Plan. The morning session looks at the steps required to put together a simple and effective plan, while the afternoon introduces some basic salvage procedures with a practical scenario focused on salvage of wet material.

Last year, three of the participants attending our workshops (in Sydney, Melbourne and Kalgoorlie) were the lucky recipients of Disaster Bins donated by Blue Shield Australia.

On May 3rd we will be running our popular ‘Care of Collections’ seminar which addresses the basic principles of preventive conservation, and shows participants how they can best preserve their collection when they don’t have ready access to conservation expertise.

For more information on both seminars, including cost and how to book, please visit our website – www.preservationaustralia.com.au . Both workshops will be held in Sydney only this year.
