The deadline for nominations has now been extended until Friday 9 April 2021.
The Australian Society of Archivists is currently accepting nominations for the annual Mander Jones Awards. The awards are for publications in the field of archives and recordkeeping. Any person or institution may nominate. Entries must have been published in the previous calendar year (2020). A publication is defined as printed or electronic material intended for public distribution.
Examples of the types of publications you may wish to nominate could include (but are not limited to):
✅ something published which featured or interpreted Australian archives for the community – such as:
- an exhibition catalogue
- an online exhibition
- a magazine
- a history monograph
- an essay or an article
✅ a finding aid developed for an archival collection about Australia or held by an Australian institution – such as:
- an index
- wiki
- API
- another type of finding aid
✅ any of the following published by a school, religious or non-profit organisation (eligible for ASA Category B Institutional Membership):
- a finding aid
- exhibition guide
- website
- newsletter
- or another type of publication
✅ an article/chapter about archives published in:
- archives
- library
- museum
- records management journal
- within an anthology/monograph
✅ an article/chapter about #archives published which was not primarily intended for archivists or records managers? For example:
- an article in an IT journal
- a feature article in a newspaper
- an essay in a collection not mainly about archives
✅ any of the following published to engage and communicate with clients of an Australian archive or archival collection about Australia:
- a newsletter
- blog
- wiki
- another type of publication

Nominations close on Monday 29 March 2021 Friday 9 April 2021. The Awards will be announced at the 2021 Archives Amplified National Conference in Brisbane 14-17 September 2021.
