I am happy to announce the launch today of an API (application programming interface) to State Records NSW's online catalogue. The API is available here: http://api.records.nsw.gov.au/ and is described in this blog post: http://data.records.nsw.gov.au/?p=145
The primary audience for the API is developers however the creation of the API has allowed us to experiment with the presentation of search results and this aspect of the API may have more general relevance. Please note that it is a work in progress and some important aspects of Archives Investigator (esp. relationships) are not yet incorporated (but will be soon).
