Just posting a link to the current sale of Max Dupain and other associated photographers at Webb's, an Auckland auction house. To quote the notification I received:
"This online-only sale presents an expansive suite of photographs by Max Dupain (1911-1992) and the circle of photographers who worked in his studio. These vintage silver gelatin prints were sourced from the archives of Fairfax’s Australasian newspapers and most carry the respective practitioner's stamp.
Max Dupain is Australia’s most celebrated modernist photographer. Dupain established his studio in 1934 after working as an apprentice for the commercial photographer Cecil Bostock. While Dupain’s commercial practice was wide-ranging, he had a particular passion for architectural photography. His studio documented work of seminal mid-century architects such as Pettit+Sevitt, Allen Jack+Cottier, Glenn Murcutt and Harry Seidler, with whom he had a long friendship.
The auction will run until Wednesday 16 December. Lots will close in groups of 10 every two minutes from 8pm. For more information on any photographs featured in this sale please contact our specialist team who will be delighted to assist."
