10267809476?profile=RESIZE_400xThe Program Committee is pleased to announce our next keynote speaker at our Here We Are 2002 Conference - environmental policy expert, Dr Megan Evans. Dr Evans will introduce us to governance in natural capital markets and explain some of the key issues around measuring and accounting.

Australia has committed to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and to halt biodiversity loss by 2030. With a growing role of the private sector in environmental governance, there are multiple frameworks, standards and metrics available in the natural capital marketplace. Providing assurance of climate and biodiversity outcomes means measuring, accounting and auditing. Records are going to be front and centre of this revolution if net zero and nature positive are really going to mean what they say.

As the knowledge economy really takes hold, there will be more and more industries that are built on information - social media was one, environmental governance is shaping up to be another. This talk will reveal to us another new frontier where our skills and expertise in building integrity into information are relevant and vital.
