Coming Soon: Professional Development Fund

We are pleased to announce that a new scholarship opportunity will soon be available. The Professional Development Fund will support Individual Members, of more than one year, access relevant professional development opportunities of their choice. The funds will be able to be used for the following costs that can be associated with professional development:

  • registration costs
  • travel and accommodation costs, and
  • childcare costs.

Professional development activities could include: ASA workshops, seminars, meetings, online courses, and events (excluding the ASA Conference, please apply for the Bob Sharman Award). Events, workshops and courses by other GLAMR associations or organisations or other relevant opportunities. 

We encourage regional members to apply to this Fund for support to attend Branch and SIG events and workshops. You do not need to be able to specify the exact Branch or SIG event if they are held regularly.

The total Fund available is $5000 per financial year. Individual members may apply to receive up to $500 per application. A member can only receive funding once per financial year.

The Selection Committee consists of the Treasurer, a Councillor to represent the small archives sector, and an Accredited Professional member from a regional location who is not on Council.
