Dear Colleagues

The City of Sydney’s Archives Program turned 40 this July.

To mark our milestone, we are launching two new products that may interest you.

The digitised Letters Received 1843-1899 (CRS 26) and The City of Sydney Employees List 1842 – 1899 are the fruit of the labours of our incredible Volunteers.

The Letters Received 1843-1899 (CRS 26) has over 59,000 letters received from both outside bodies as well as Council officers. The complimentary Letters Sent are digitised and are in the process of being transcribed.

The City of Sydney Employees List 1842 – 1899 was compiled from numerous archival sources over 10 years and thousands of hours work, with an exciting end result of over 5,000 names of persons who worked for Council.
