The Australian Siciety of Archivists is seeking to appoint a Journal Editor for Archives and Manuscripts from 17 January 2022 for two years (minimum term). Expressions of interest should be sent to the President and received by 5 December 2021. There will be interviews scheduled in December with the position to be finalised before 10 January 2021.

Archives and Manuscripts is the leading peer-reviewed archival journal published in the Australasian region, and has been published continuously since 1955. The journal is entering an exciting phase and moving to an open-access model of publishing, consisting of two issues per annum.

The Editor will be appointed for a two-year term with an annual performance review. A second term may be considered by mutual agreement. The position is configured as part-time, requiring around 10 hours per week, and working with the support of a small voluntary editorial team. An honorarium is paid to the Editor annually. The ASA Council is willing to be flexible in finding ways to accommodate individual circumstances given the role is part-time. A Co-Editor arrangement is a possibility, with favour shown towards a split between academic and practitioner backgrounds. In the case of a Co-Editor arrangement, the honorarium would be split between incumbents.
