I have been asked to look into alternatives for the current Hirotec Blue Box air conditioning unit which has been in use in the Archives at the school I work at. The unit has been in place for a number of years and has been problematic for much of the time it has been in use. It appears to have finally given up, and the school facilities manager has obtained a quote for a replacement unit. The unit he has been quoted on is a Vertiv HPM S1DKA vertical air cooled CRAC unit.
Our Business Manager is concerned by the cost of the new unit so I am wondering if anyone has recent experience of replacing their air con they can share, and recommendations for solutions.
