The #ArchivesAmplified Conference conference will go ahead between 14-17 September, either in its planned hybrid format or as a virtual conference. Council and the Conference Committee are closely monitoring the COVID situation across Australia and will be making a decision on whether the conference will move to a fully virtual format within the next week.
You can transfer your registration from in-person to virtual or vice-versa up until 7 September (no additional fees). Should the conference move to fully virtual, registrations will be automatically transferred.
Virtual delegates can still enjoy a fantastic conference experience via the Delegate Connect conference platform. One of the reasons Delegate Connect was chosen is that it provides a far richer virtual conference experience than death-by-Zoom.
- Connect with individual attendees and speakers
- Visit break out rooms
- Contribute to sessions discussion
- Get early access to recorded presentations – a great opportunity if you can’t decide between the parallel sessions.
Did you know we have 4 workshops planned during the conference?
The following will be held in a virtual-only format. They are available to all delegates, whether they attending in-person or virtually.
- WS1 Introduction to Jupyter Notebooks with Sara King
- WS3 Trauma-Informed Archival Practice with Nicola Laurent and Kirsten Wright
- WS4 Out-of-Home Care Records with Kirsten Wright and Nicola Laurent
The WS2 Dealing with Pests In Archival Collections workshop with the Queensland State Archives is still being offered in-person only in Brisbane. The conference committee is currently investigating virtual options.
Already registered and want to add a workshop? Send an email to event@archivists.org.au advising which workshops you want to attend and we’ll be in touch.
Our Lightning Talks will also be held virtually via Live-Stream only.
