The Lost Library: the Dennis Wolanski Library and kindred spirits 1973-2023

The Sydney Opera House Trust established the Dennis Wolanski Library and Archives of Performing Arts in 1973. Twenty years later, it attracted NSW Government support to develop the library as part of a new performing arts museum, but the Carr Government shut down the museum project, closed the library and dispersed the collection in 1997.
What was in the collection? What were the reasons for its closure? Since 1997, what efforts by kindred spirits, including the Seaborn, Broughton & Walford Foundation, have been made to preserve the story of the performing arts?
