The Queensland Disaster Information Network (Q-Dis) website now includes a CYCLONE- QLD Update Discussion topic http://manexus.ning.com/group/qdis. Whilst a key purpose of Q-Dis is to provide a forum for sharing information on disaster preparedness and planning it is also an ideal vehicle for providing updates on how people and collections are managing.

I look forward to Q-Dis becoming a vehicle for the exchange of information and news across sectors afterall damage from a cyclone does not discriminate based on sector, the damage and heartbreak can affect all irrespective of whether it's housed in an archive, gallery, library, museum, historical society, home or elsewhere or owned by an individual or a group, private, commercial or government agency.
