Hi folks,
if you've got a quiet spell on the search room desk, I recommend reading 'Of Provenance and Privacy: using contextual integrity to define third-party privacy' by Steven Bingo. Its in 'American Archivist' vol 74 #2 2011.
Raises some good points around how contextual integrity of a record gives structure to evaluating privacy risk. Also discusses how archivists' ethical responsibilities go beyond the merely legal. Our digital age raises fresh challenges for us to meet in this field.
cheers

Great Andrew,
its a while since I'd read the article so not quite sure if it will help with your dilemma, but I think James' advice is good.
good luck

Thanks, David. I'll have a look anyway. Regards, Andrew
Just found this, David, and I’ll certainly have a look. Sounds relevant to the query I posted on the forum yesterday. Thanks.
