Non-Gov. Schools Digital Archives

Hi all, As I have just started a position as an archivist in a non-gov. school I am just wondering what processes/policies other schools have used in regard to their digital archives. Currently, my school does not have one coherent digital archive and we wish to condense this to one archiving system so everything that needs to be kept is kept and can be easily access.I greatly appreciate any help if you can provide it.Thanks in advanced, Will

  • Hi Will, this is a process I am hoping to embark on this year. We use Accessit, which is our school library catalogue, but our library has decided to moved to an alternate system, which will leave the archives flying solo. I am hoping to move to another system, possibly in conjunction with the school's digital photo resource, which is currently Schoolbench. I'm looking for a system that might offer us a website, as well as a catalogue that's accessible to the community, as well as meeting archival requirements. Let me know how you get on! We can share notes! Carolyn.
