I'm Alisa Howlett from the School of Information Systems at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in Brisbane. I am currently completing a research project as part of my Masters course and would like to extend an invitation to participate to people who are currently employed in publicly funded, Australian archival institutions.

The purpose of this research study is to explore innovation (and its potential) in publicly funded, Australian archival institutions by focusing on innovation being, or have been recently implemented (though not a requirement to participate). This research study will also seek to identify any existing enablers of innovation, as well as gain some initial understanding of environmental influences associated with driving or resisting innovation.

Participation in this research project will require the completion of an online questionnaire, taking approximately 25 minutes.

For further details about the research project and to complete the questionnaire, please proceed to this linkhttps://www.surveymonkey.com/s/QK6P8W2.

Please note that this study has been approved by the QUT Human Research Ethics Committee (approval number 1300000596).

Thank you for considering this invitation. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

  • Thank you to those who considered participation in this research and who responded to the questionnaire.

    This questionnaire has now closed.

I believe that innovation in cultural institutions, and specifically in archival institutions is a very important conversation to have as they respond to a changing and constantly evolving environment in which their social purpose must remain relevant to a diverse range of stakeholders. The aim of this research was to commence this conversation and it is hoped it will continue.
