Archival research in high places

 

Whilst driving home last night listening to parliamentary proceedings on the radio (tragic, I know), I happened to hear our long-term friend Senator John Faulkner, during the Senate's adjournment debate, deploring Australia Post's decision to close the Glebe Post Office. Sen. Faulkner has clearly been doing his archival research - his two-part speech canvassed the history of the Glebe Post Office, my guess is from good old SP32/1, the post office history files at the National Archives' Sydney Office.
