- 5:15 to 5:45pm – Guest Speakers – Beata Dawson and June Bishop: "From a mountain of eclectic items to an online exhibition: Establishing and showcasing a private collection" Speakers will talk about the private Bishop Collection, the establishment of the archives, the complex archiving process: from sorting, classification, coding, archival description to storage, including database management. They will address digitisation and preservation issues, and share how they are bringing the collection to life, including the design and creation of an online representation and a virtual exhibition.
- Beata Dawson, PhD candidate at Curtin University, responsible for collection management at the Bishop Collection. Beata has extensive experience in records and archives management, information and communication technology, and application of digital technologies in the GLAM sector.
- June Bishop, Bachelor of Arts, is responsible for archives management at the Bishop Collection. An experienced art teacher.
