Preservation and Conservation of textiles
9.30 am -12.00 pm Textile Conservator Michael Marendy will talk about the Care and Storage of textiles in the School Archives. He will also answer questions about difficult storage issues that you may have encountered. (Two hour PD plus a 30 minutes Question and Answer session). In the Q&A session members may want to bring a “problem “ textile and/or samples of their storage material for textiles.

Cataloguing textiles with digital copies for viewing – speaker TBA
Cathy Clem and Mary Weaver from All Hallows School will bring samples of their covered hanger, covers and labels used for their uniform collection and other attendees are welcome to share the way they store and protect the textiles in their collection.
