Have you ever wondered what happened to those science fiction fanzines and convention materials from the 60’s and 70’s, and how they might be used by researcher's and community members today?

Did you know that Murdoch University has a world class collection of sci fi fanzines? One major collection of this material was donated along a significant archive of correspondence that provides insight into the social networks behind the creation, distribution and preservation of this material.

Join Dr Jessie Lymn of Charles Sturt University and Special Collections Fellowship recipient, as she provides a rare insight into Science Fiction fanzines at Murdoch University Library; how they reflect the cultural, political and social issues of their era and the importance of the human networks around them.

Jessie's talk will be followed by a panel discussion with the collection donor, the collector librarian and the researcher.

This event will be followed by drinks in the Peace Pavilion on the gorgeous Murdoch University Campus.
